Relationship between critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, and learning achievement in biology course: A study of education level and gender differences

The purpose of this study was to understand the relationship between critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, and learning achievement of senior high school and university students in both genders. The sample was 85 senior high school and 90 university students drawn using cluster random sampling technique. Regression Analysis is applied to understand the correlations among education level and gender differences in the relationship between critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, and learning achievement. All statistical analyses were calculated using SPSS statistical package software. The results are summarized below. 1. Senior high school and university students’ critical thinking skills present significantly positive correlations with creative thinking skills and learning achievement in both genders. 2. Senior high school and university students’ creative thinking skills shows significantly positive relationships with learning achievement in both sexes.
